"Groupe Avril X Cloud Temple: when the trusted cloud is much more than a golden prison for sensitive data "

3 questions to Christophe Lesur

What needs can Cloud Temple meet?

Our mission is to help businesses and public sector bodies transform their critical digital assets. Cloud Temple is now the largest trusted cloud platform in France. Since obtaining SecNumCloud qualification for our IaaS cloud in early 2022, we've been expanding our offering at a steady pace: the first trusted PaaS to be qualified by ANSSI* will go on sale at the end of the year, and our Trusted SaaS marketplace is constantly welcoming new publishers, with a powerful leverage effect for users. By developing these new technological building blocks, we are gradually extending the footprint of the Trusted Cloud, with the aim of going European by 2025.

Is compliance a hindrance or a lever for your technological development?

It's important to understand that providing cloud services isn't just about making IT resources available to our customers, it's also about helping to guarantee trust in the digital world. Cloud Temple acts as a trusted third party, providing hyper-secure cloud infrastructures that are immune to non-European extra-territorial laws. From this point of view, compliance is far from being an obstacle; it's a guarantee of quality for our customers and their own stakeholders.

That's why we've chosen to build all our technological developments in line with the most demanding standards on the market. Over the past year, under the impetus of the government in particular, SecNumCloud has established itself as THE benchmark for the cloud in France. We are convinced that in the years to come, at both French and European level, it will no longer be possible to provide cloud infrastructure services that do not have a trust mark worthy of the name.

How is Cloud Temple meeting the climate challenges facing businesses and public sector bodies?

Decision-makers need clarity and visibility. That's why we've ensured that our customers' IT resource consumption is financially predictable. Similarly, to meet their climate challenges, our CMP now provides them with real-time measurements of the energy consumption and carbon emissions of hosted information systems. At the same time, we are putting in place services to extend the lifespan of equipment. And in the future we will be able to automate recommendations to ensure that the design of an architecture is as energy-efficient as possible, throughout the entire cycle.
