The CAIH cloud market, in plain English
The central purchasing unit

CAIH's mission is to simplify IT and telecoms purchasing for healthcare establishments, by preparing and managing public procurement contracts. It currently manages 35 contracts for more than 2,000 public (80%) and private not-for-profit healthcare sector members.

Its "Consulting, support and hosted infrastructures for healthcare data (HDS)" cloud market offers turnkey access to a very wide range of dedicated or shared hosting environments.

Lot 1

Dedicated to hosting in a trusted cloud, lot 1 of the CAIH cloud contract provides robust, highly secure infrastructures that are immune to extraterritorial foreign legislation. It includes consultancy services to ensure that requirements are matched with the infrastructure provided, and managed services for day-to-day management. Emphasis has been placed on reversibility, monitoring consumption and optimising contract costs.

For a period of 4 years from 29 September 2023, lot 1 has been awarded to 4 French cloud providers: Cloud Temple, Adista, Atos and Claranet.

Analysis
Christophe Lesur, Managing Director of Cloud Temple

"To modernise efficiently at acceptable costs, the cloud is a powerful lever for healthcare establishments. But the data they process is particularly sensitive, requiring compliance with enhanced security criteria. That's why it's so important to create a 'bubble of trust' in a state-of-the-art cloud that is HDS-certified and SecNumCloud-qualified by ANSSI".
