Join Cloud Temple and help shape the future of the European sovereign cloud!
Cloud Temple, a leader in digital sovereignty, helps businesses and public sector bodies to transform, host and outsource their mission-critical applications.
In order to strengthen our teams and support the development of the PAMS (Secure Administration and Maintenance Providers) service, we are looking for our future Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).
As part of a team of around ten people and reporting to your Operations Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, reliability and automation of the sponsors’ environments, whilst strictly adhering to the PAMS qualification requirements.
Under the PAMS framework, this post falls under either the role of PAMS IS Administrator (ASI) or the role of PAMS Operator, depending on the assignment. These two roles are mutually exclusive: the same employee cannot be both an ASI and an Operator. Access is granted exclusively via a ruggedised workstation dedicated to the administered environment.
Reliability and operation:
- To design, develop and maintain our platform and deployment pipelines.
- Proactively manage production incidents, analyse root causes (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
- Anticipate and manage the risks associated with changes to production, whilst ensuring compliance with SLAs and SLOs.
- Improve the monitoring of environments and applications to ensure their availability and performance.
PAMS Security and Compliance:
- Access the managed environment exclusively from the ruggedised workstation.
- Comply with PAMS security policies (IAM, MFA, bastion, RBAC).
- Ensure the traceability (access logs, changes) required by the PAMS qualification.
- Work with the Security team on audits and the production of compliance reports.
Automation and Industrialisation :
- Develop scripts (Python, Bash, Go) to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
- Using AI assistants (sovereign LLMs) for code generation and log analysis.
FinOps:
Working on a day-to-day basis to optimise the financial use of public cloud resources.
Collaboration and transformation:
- Support the operational teams as they develop their skills (training, «side-by-side» support).
- Support the development teams to facilitate regular and reliable deployments.
- To participate in the Build-to-Run process as part of client transformations and to support SDMs.
- Contribute to expanding the knowledge base and participate in the IAC and Monitoring Guilds.
Monitoring and observability:
- Design and improve dashboards (Grafana, Prometheus).
- Ensure proactive monitoring (SLI / SLO / error budget).
On-call duty management:
- Take part in the 24/7 on-call rota, post-incident follow-up and continuous improvement.
You have a degree in computer science and have extensive experience in production engineering, CloudOps and mission-critical environments.
You are comfortable working in Linux and Azure Cloud environments, have developed a strong DevOps/SRE mindset, and enjoy automating, enhancing reliability and improving the platforms you operate.
You are proficient in all or some parts of our technical ecosystem: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, Prometheus, Grafana, VMware/Hyper-V, as well as a scripting or programming language such as Python, Bash, PowerShell or Go.
Beyond technical skills, we are looking for someone who is meticulous, independent and inquisitive, who enjoys working as part of a team and is able to thrive in demanding environments where availability, performance and safety are essential.
Are you already using AI and LLMs to improve efficiency, automate certain tasks or analyse logs? That’s a real bonus.
Experience in SRE, as well as certifications in Cloud, DevOps or Security, and an awareness of the challenges relating to cybersecurity and sovereignty, would also be an advantage.
