CTO Lab', The Podcast - Episode #1

Jérôme Vu Than, Cloud Transformation Director at Cloud Temple, accompanied by Christophe Marzio, Chief Technology Officer & Office Services Delivery Director Ricoh France takes part in the first episode of CTO Lab'- The podcast!

This series of podcasts, hosted by Catherine Chauvois, Director of Systems, IBM France and Loïc Vuichard, Co-founder and Chairman of Losam Agency, focuses on the major challenges and prospects currently facing the CTO function. Several points were addressed during this first meeting.

The challenges of data modernisation

For CTOs, the choice of action plans is becoming increasingly complex, particularly to ensure the protection, transparency, integrity and isolation of data. We're talking here about the different levels of data, whether hot or cold.

Once these questions have been answered, new ones emerge: how do you back up data and ensure it is available once it has been saved, how do you use it and how do you integrate it directly into business processes to make it 'speak'?

What does the future hold for infrastructure?

After a brief introduction to cloud computing, our speakers will present a range of topics relating to application infrastructures, including the major trends and principles to be adopted to prepare for the future and meet the needs of business services and their specific requirements. To name but a few: automation, agile culture, DevOps, elasticity and the use of open source structures, etc.

Making IT careers attractive?

People and talent pools are at the heart of the future transformation of digital infrastructures, but what skills are needed and where are they available? Is there really a shortage of talent, and if so, what are the solutions?
